I am grateful to have been awarded a rare double lifetime induction into Beta Gamma Sigma, one of the world’s most respected business honor societies. This recognition reflects academic achievement and professional engagement in the field of business, and I view it as both an honor and a responsibility.
Beta Gamma Sigma recognizes top-performing business students from accredited institutions worldwide, with lifetime membership reserved for those who demonstrate sustained commitment to excellence. While many students work toward induction into the society, I was humbled to earn a double lifetime induction through the University of Hartford’s Barney School of Business—an outcome shaped by both academic effort and practical experience gained along the way.
My path to this recognition was influenced by the entrepreneurial work I pursued before and during my undergraduate studies. I began as a young entrepreneur, building a security-focused eCommerce company centered on surveillance systems and related equipment. Over time, that work expanded into international trade, including exporting sporting products to markets abroad. Each step provided valuable lessons that complemented what I was learning in the classroom.
Later, I took on the challenge of acquiring the rights to a defunct national retail chain, an experience that tested my resilience and judgment at an early stage in my career. At 25, the effort drew attention from regional media, including the Hartford Courant, and reinforced the importance of perseverance, adaptability, and learning through uncertainty.
This double lifetime induction is meaningful to me not as a destination, but as a reflection of the people, experiences, and opportunities that helped shape my journey. It represents the intersection of academic learning and real-world application—something I continue to value deeply.
Today, I remain focused on supporting entrepreneurs and organizations through consulting, technology strategy, and education, with a continued commitment to learning, service, and steady growth.
